Agricultural supplies were sold alongside hardware, supermarket and drapery lines in the original Wallaces Wellingtonbridge building until 1969. The business was then relocated to a purpose built, state of the art premises with a new weighbridge facility in Ballyowen, across the railway bridge in Wellingtonbridge. Back in 1945 the product range consisted of mainly farming implements such as sprongs, shovels, twine etc. most farmers were self sufficient in their animal feeds and fertilizer was eau-natural! And there was no such thing as silage.

Compound Feeds & Straights:
We stock Top brands of feedstuffs from Connollys Red Mills & Southern Mills – leaders in the field of stock formulation. Wallace AGRI stock feed for cattle, sheep, horses, pigs and goats – these can be purchased prepacked in bags or bulk and can be collected or delivered.

Grass silage is the mainstay of Irish livestock farming. It’s quality and yield are critical to the efficiency and cost of beef and milk production. We can advise you on silage supplements to maximise end production. If you are mixing your own feed – we stock soya, corn gluten, pulp nuts, gluten, distillers, citrus – again these can be purchased prepacked or bulk, collected or delivered.

Fertilizer:
Available for crops, grasslands and fodder – in small or large bags, or bulk – collected or delivered. Our wide range includes fertilizer for cereals, beet, rape, kale and turnips – call us now for a competitive quotation.

Sprays:
we stock a full range of sprays for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides for all disease management solutions for crop, grassland, insect and weed control.

Seeds:
Cereal seeds (wheat, barley, oats), Fodder (beet, turnip, rape, kale & maize) and grass seeds all available ex stock. Grass seeds are available in 2 mixtures; ACE Multi-Sward for grazing/silage and late heading Ace Maxi Graze for grazing sward. – we can organise special mixtures formulated to your specific needs through Teagasc Johnstown Castle.
